How do I get paid?

All payments will be processed immediately following your shift and sent to you within 3 business days via direct deposit. Payment is handled by Stripe which is a global online payment processor that is trusted by thousands of businesses across the globe.


To ensure that payments are processed in a timely manner, please make sure your payment information is updated and verified on the ‘Pay’ tab of your Sintra application.

How do I get notified of shifts?

The best way to be notified is to make sure your push notifications are turned on. That way you will be notified right away of any newly posted shifts which match your profile. We also notify you of shifts by email.

How do I make my profile standout?

Stand out from the crowd by taking a few seconds to fully complete your profile: add a recent photo and update your work history. 98% of dental professionals that are accepted for shifts on Sintra have a fully completed profile.

What is a breach of contract?

As a Sintra user you are an Independent Contractor. Working for yourself comes with a degree of self-responsibility. 

When you ‘Accept’ a job, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed.

When Do Breaches Occur?

  • Any withdrawal from a job within 12 hours of the start time
  • Any 1, 2, or 3-star rating
  • Asking the Requestor to cancel the job for you
  • Showing up late to a job, as reported by a dental office.

Consequence of a breach?

Your account will be suspended for 4 days. When your account is suspended, you will not be able to apply for any jobs. In addition, you will automatically be removed from all jobs you applied to or accepted.

You may submit the following to support documents to have the suspension revoked:  


  • Doctor’s Note with proper timestamps
  • Accident report with proper timestamps
  • Car repair report with proper timestamps  


Although each violation is analyzed/investigated on a case by case basis – we work with a three strikes you’re off the platform rule.

No Call No Show

You will be automatically terminated, banned and removed from the Sintra application indefinitely.

Who are our candidates?

Our candidates have a vast range of dental experience – some are young professionals and others are experienced vets looking to supplement their income while keeping a flexible schedule. 

How does Sintra screen dental candidates?

We verify licenses/certifications with the proper licensing body and have a onboarding interview phone call.

Dental Candidates agree to abide by Sintra’’s Terms of Service, User Agreements, and Privacy Policy in order to use the platform.

We have a two way review system where candidates past work is reviewed by previous dental employers.

How much does it cost to use the Sintra App?

It costs $44.99 per temporary placement to use the Sintra platform. This already includes HST.

How much does a direct hire fee cost?

In the event a dental office desires to hire a dental candidate outside of the Sintra Application in the twelve (12) months following a contact between a dental office and dental candidate through the Sintra Mobile Application: the Dental Office will notify Sintra and will be charged a hiring fee of $850 for a successful hire. 

In the event a dental office does not notify Sintra within thirty (30) days that it has Hired a dental candidate, dental office shall be obligated to immediately pay to Sintra a hiring fee of $3,000.  The amounts described in both instances (i.e., with or without notice from dental office) shall be referred to as the “Hiring Fee”.

Such Direct Hire Fee shall be charged regardless of whether: (a) Dental professional contacts dental office or applies to dental office independently or otherwise through a public job posting or other job board;. Any hire or engagement of the dental professional by dental office set forth above shall be defined as a “Hire” and shall trigger the Direct Hire Fee, including a full time hire, part time hire or temporary hire.

Late Cancellation

In the event that a dental office cancels a shift less than twelve (12) hours before the shift is to begin, the dental office will be required to pay 20% of the total shift.  The cost includes both the payment to the dental professional and the fee paid to Sintra.

How do payments work?

Your card on file will be charged immediately after rating the performance of the dental professional and you will receive an invoice.  Payment is handled by Stripe which is a global online payment processor that is trusted by thousands of businesses across the globe.

To avoid overpaying or underpaying a dental professional, please make sure you make any necessary adjustments to their pay BEFORE you approve them.
